What imagery comes to head when you think of Istanbul? No matter what it is, it’s probably not modern architecture, and that is what European photographer Yener Torun is trying to improve.
“simply think about the Istanbul photos you have got experienced before: grand holy places, vintage streets, seagulls over the Bosphorus. I truly display a completely different side. Even long-term residents can’t believe these images were taken in the location they live in, says the turkey born photographer.
Yener Torun regularly updates his Instagram account with these amazingly vibrant examples of Istanbul’s modern architecture.
It began a couple of years ago when he found an inspiration for his photography in architecture: “Usually architecture easily provides the things I look for – colors, geometric habits, strong lines, shadow takes on”. More info @ instagram
